Lafayette Means Business!

At the heart of Lafayette's business-focused activity is the Redevelopment Department, which oversees various programs and opportunities to help businesses thrive. This department, along with its board and commissions, including the Redevelopment Commission and Redevelopment Authority, Parking Commisssion, and Economic Development Commission play key roles to promote and encourage business growth and expansion, appropriate land use and improvement of Lafayette's neighborhoods.
The City of Lafayette uses a variety of business assistance tools such as tax increment financing, tax abatement, job training funds, enterprise zone incentives, and other programming along with partnerships and assistance through Greater Lafayette Commerce.
